Product description
Pack of ten replacement tubes for the Dräger Airflow Tester.
Application area
Detection of weak air flows
Checking ventilation and air conditioning systems and weather flow movements
Functionality
The filling layer of the flow test tube is impregnated with fuming sulphuric acid.
When air is forced through the tube with the blower ball CH12868 (not included or already included with SET: CH00216), sulphuric acid aerosol in the form of white smoke is emitted.
Ambient conditions
Temperature : 0 °C to 40 °C
Humidity : 3 to 50 mg/L (equivalent to 100 % RH at 40 °C)
The higher the moisture content of the air, the more visible the sulphuric acid aerosol.
If the air is absolutely dry, no visible smoke is produced.
Requirements
Use flow test tube with blower ball CH12868 (not included in delivery or already included with SET: CH00216).
This ball must not be used with other Dräger-Tubes.
Carry out the test
Break off both tips of the tube in the tube opener 6401200 (not included in delivery or already included in SET: CH00216).
Insert the tube tightly into the blower ball, the direction does not matter.
Close the hole of the blower ball with your thumb and push the air contained in the ball through the tube.
Further hints
The tubes can be used as often as visible smoke is emitted.
Between tests, close the tubes with the rubber caps CH16631 (not supplied).
Do not store used tubes for more than 3 days.
When using tubes that have already been used, make sure that no liquid sulphuric acid from the caps gets onto skin or clothing.
Scope of delivery
One package of flow test tubes (10 tubes) in a plastic box.
